Our Vision Lab Process
Gibson Engineering offers a highly trained team of engineers as well as decades of experience and state-of-the-art lab equipment to prove your machine vision project. With a proof of concept, you can improve your confidence in project specifications, increase your return on investment (ROI) and mitigate risk.
Our vision lab evaluation is a four-step process:
- Define requirements: Our engineers develop an understanding of your specifications, from physical constraints and field of view to cycle time and inspection criteria.
- Send us parts: You send us your components for review. Then, our engineers conduct a parts evaluation, determine inspection requirements and consider any variables that will lead to successful project deployment.
- Proof of concept: Our team of engineers uses a series of real-world simulations to create an evaluation report and inspection time analysis based on parts performance. The tests include various lighting, resolutions and lensing options. We test your parts against your specific parameters to measure success.
- Review the results: With a proof of concept, we develop a thorough quotation with the recommended hardware for your machine vision project. We provide job files, sample images and application feedback for your reference.
