An Automation Sales Engineer at Gibson Engineering Co., Inc. is a customer-facing outside role that has the primary responsibility of growing sales with our existing customers, generating business with new customers, and improving relationships with the manufacturers that we represent. The automation sales engineer uses a combination of commercial and technical competence to drive long-term, profitable relationships with our customers with a technical focus on robotics, machine vision, safety, motion control, sensing, machine control, and data/visualization.
The primary function of Application Engineering at Gibson Engineering are accomplished by working independently or with a team to solve customer problems through the specification of automation solutions. This role will include solving new challenges and supporting existing solutions and customers. Delivering technical presentations of concepts, solutions, and training materials directly to customers or the sales team is frequently required.
A Customer Service Representative at Gibson Engineering is responsible for processing customer purchase orders from Gibson’s growing customer base. In addition to processing transactions this position provides customers with order support (status updates, delivery updates, returns etc.) when necessary to ensure Gibson’s customers have an efficient and positive customer experience as possible. Gibson’s success is built on strong customer relationships and long-time partnerships with those organizations, and this role plays a key part in delivering the exceptional service that sets us apart.
